President Noh's Liberation Day speech is here (link found at the Marmot's Hole). As is true every year, there's no mention of who the liberators were. In any case, there's a lot in Noh's speech I agree with; South Korea is justifiably proud of its many achievements, not least of which is making itself into a global power after starting from practically nothing in 1953.
There's also much in the speech I disagree with, not to mention claims that require verification. I won't list those items here, but will encourage you to read the English text of the speech for yourself.
