something terrible is about to happen

I mentioned to my morning partner teacher, J, that I wrote a book. She's a fairly devout Christian (I say that in the sense that she's more open-minded than many Korean Christians tend to be), but she says she wants a peek for herself at one strain of American humor. I've warned her about the sex and scatology; she won't be deterred. Have I just corrupted a perfectly decent human being?

If so, I'll sleep well tonight.
